Jack Kirby.
He created a yeti named Thunderfoot, but is mostly known for his yeti from Tales to Astonish Vol 1 # 24 (October 1961), the one from Fantastic Four # 99 - which is depicted here:
And my personal favorite - the one from Black Panther # 5 (1977) (blogged about here and here).

A comic of his that has proven to be as elusive to see as the Yeti himself is "I Found the Abominable Snowman" from Tales to Astonish Vol 1 #13 (1960). (not to be confused with Ditko's 1958 "I Captured the Abominable Snowman").
This is the only picture of Kirby's yeti I can find from it. Anybody got any others?
Here are two summaries of the comic:
"When mercenary Carl Hanson crossed paths with a man possessing a photograph of the real Abominable Snowman, Hanson assaulted the man and stole the picture, determined to find the Snowman himself and make himself wealthy. Several times he was warned that the picture itself was cursed and that he should discard it immediately. He traveled into the Himalayas by himself, and after a long amount of time, began to lose his sense of reality. When last seen, Carl had lost the ability to talk, and now resembled the creature in the photo." Source
"While in Calcutta, Carl Hanson overheard a man talking about a photograph he had found of the Abominable Snowman, which was said to be cursed. Figuring that this would be a great source of money for the sensationalism, Hanson stole the photo from him, and set off for the Himalayas. However, no one there would help him, all pleading with him to lose the photo before the curse overcame him. Finally, he set off into the mountains to find the creature himself. And as he climbed through the snow, his hair grew longer and longer-- until he was the Abominable Snowman himself!" Source
Jack Kirby has other wonderful Yeti-esque creations.
