Designs for a
Medusa & Yeti as cop partners cartoon by
Aashay Meshram:
The warrior Denali embarks on a quest across a post-apocalyptic world, aided by a magician/thief named Paris and a yeti named Grok. (2013 comic)
The comic
Airboy had a storyline:
"Queen of the Yeti Valley" (January 1987), which is most notable for the ridiculously tall pointy scalps given to the white-furred "snow people" (inspired by the Pangboche scalp, of course - which also gave the Tintin Yeti his head as well.). Hey, it was the Late Eighties.
Stephanie Skeffington is surrounded by a flurry of seemingly ferocious
yetis with her fate left unknown (a la Princess Leia & the Ewoks) until the story picks back up with her and you find she's since become allies with the
yetis, helping them to fight against an oppressor.
Airboy and Skywolf help them out.
And Stephanie gets to give the
yetis' oppressor the what-for, by punching her up side the head while Skywolf smirks.
As the story ends, we see that the
yetis have been supplied machine guns. Stephanie expresses concern for their fate without her aid, but Skywolf replies, "...I figure they'll get along just fine."
Hey, it was the Late Eighties.
