Yep, yeti wears cars for shoes.

Now that you see it, you wonder why no one's thought of it before.

It is a shoes 4

Yeti's not wearing shoes but he's on them.

Also he's saying "RVCA". A clever buzz marketing ploy to get on Everything Yeti Has Ever Said page?

WORKED.

Note to self: Add "RVCA" to Everything Yeti Has Ever Said page.

It is a shoes 3

Savvy writes:

These shoes may have already been sent to your attention, but if not, all the yeti-loving ladies (and some men) probably need them:

They come from PonyChopsShop on etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/PonyChopsShop)

Thanks, Savvy!

Not Yeti Friday - The Northern Henry

"The Northern Henry" by Travis Louie

I blogged previously about Louie's The Family Yeti.

Monsters Inc. Yeti

Monsters University is out today.   It's a prequel to Monsters, Inc.

It takes place at a time before the Abominable Snowman was exiled out of the monster world.

One can assume Mike & Sulley would be college buddies with him.

This is also a great opportunity to explain why Yeti was banished to the Himalayas - a big mystery in the original film.  What crazy college prank got him expelled?

Also, John Ratzenberger always does a voice for each Pixar movie; so one would naturally assume he would return to voice his Abominable Snowman character.
Surely, one can expect the Abominable Snowman to appear in Monsters University.

Right?

Source

NO.

The Abominable Snowman is not in this movie.  John Ratzenberger is voicing some other character.

Bummer.

Here's hoping they are planning a separate short with the Abominable Snowman as the star, which explains his banishment.

In the meantime, here are two products one can get with the Monsters Inc. Yeti:

 Threadless has this tee:

And there's a new plush doll that's pretty great:

I got one of these. It's HUGE.  Also: cuddly.

New Lego Collectibile Minifigurine

A user on brickshelf named ajdken uploaded some pictures that appear to preview the upcoming Lego collectible minifigures series 11.

One of them shows a yeti!  MUST ACQUIRE.

Word has it that we should be seeing these hit store shelves in August 2013.

What's he holding? Is that a popsicle or some kind of shovel-made-of-ice?

He Loves Me Not Yeti Friday - George R. R. Martin's Jaenshi

Chewbacca and Han... best example of Not Yeti Plutonic 'He Loves Me' in the known (albeit distant) galaxy...

But Did You Know?

The look of Chewbacca was inspired by the cover of a 1975 Analog sci-fi magazine that depicted the alien race called Jaenshi from a short story by George R. R. Martin of Game of Thrones fame.

These guys weren't nice like Wookiees.  Definitely 'He Loves Me Not'.
