Back in 1986, Graeme Base included a hidden yeti in his alphabet picture book Animalia.



On the page for the letter Y, if you look closely at the sail...



...there's a little white yeti!

Yeti Arcade: Gumby vs. the Astrobots

One of the only bosses in Gumby vs. the Astrobots (2006) for the Game Boy Advance was a ram-horned yeti.



Yeti says: "AAAAARRRRRRRRGH!" and "COME BACK DRAGON"...

..hmm, not exactly the most eloquent yeti's ever been.

Note to self: please DON'T add this to the "Everything Yeti Has Ever Said" page.

Heroes in Action puts out a series of toy figures called Presidential Monsters, where U.S. presidents are mashed with classic monsters. As part of Wave 2 released later this year (2012), they are bringing out... Yeti Roosevelt.

Yeti Loves Hugs, Apparently

Yetis like to hug.



They do it all the time.



They will hug you and squeeze you and call you George.


They will show you the love.



They don't discriminate.



They will express their affection to their enemies.



The Young and the Old.



Even with each other.



And even when they're covered inexplicably with bandages.



They will get as good as they give.



Even when a yeti crab.

Today, the film John Carter comes out. It features the first ever movie version of the Great White Apes of Barsoom. I blogged all about them on a Not Yeti Friday before.



The Great White Ape is an example of a MAAM, a Multi-Armed Ape Monster.

In Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: 1st Edition's Fiend Folio, there is an entry for Gorilla Bear.



"These monsters have the head, body and legs of a gorilla with the sharp teeth and powerful arms of a bear. They have the aggressive disposition of the grizzly bear and the carnivorous tendencies of the cave bear."

Eyes (Triclops)

I've shown a lot of super-heroes fightin' yetis, but never the Green Lantern.

I don't think the Emerald Knight's fought a yeti. But in 1979, Hal took on the Triclops, and that's good enough for me.
