Not Yeti Friday - Akhlut

More people should be aware of Akhlut.

In Inuit mythology, it's an evil spirit that takes the form of an orca and wolf hybrid whenever it's on land patrolling the beach.  Wolf + Orca = a most DEADLY combination.

Yeti Frozen Custard

It's not every day you discover that the Yeti has been driven right into your own backyard.

Yeti Frozen Custard (Facebook | Twitter) is now a food truck in Austin, TX (where I live) and I can't wait to check it out!

I like their branding. You can see more, including graphics for each of the custard options, in their behance gallery.

Reviews are in and they're positive - here's one here.  I am going to seek this Yeti out and will report back with my findings!

Bukowski Yeti

I'm a fan of Michael Bukowski's work. He has has this blog "Yog-Blogsoth" where he illustrates every monster from the Lovecraft mythos. I've included his depictions in my Not Yeti posts for Gug, Gnoph-keh, Mi-Go and Voormis.

Now he's done the Abominable Snowman!

Not Yeti Friday - Bug!'s Abominable Snowbug

Is this a bug vs. yeti?  No.

It is bug vs. Abominable Snowbug, who is a boss of the ice level (of course) and hurls snowballs (of course).  It's the yeti version of a bug, I guess.

The game in question, Bug! (1995), was for the Sega Saturn.

{Tasmanian Tiger vs. Yeti} Yeti Arcade: Ty the Tasmanian Tiger

Sad to speak of an animal in the past tense but such is the case regarding the Thylacine or Tasmanian Devil, which went exinct in 1936.

Its memory lives on in the video game, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger (2002). The titular hero must contend with this yeti:
