OOPS I MISSED THIS:

Although I'd blogged way back in 2008 about Hawman vs. Yeti, I totally missed that theyencountered each other back in 1961 in The Brave and the Bold # 35:

Also, there was one in the cartoon, "Yogi's First Christmas" (1980):

NOT YETI:

Um, how about King Gori from Grezander?

See you next year!

Henry I wasn't sure if you had heard of the Hihi, it is a huge white monkey of Japanese Yokai folklore. It is depicted in the art of Utagawa Kuniyoshi 1859 & Tsukioka Yoshitoshi 1865. The first movie to depict them was made in 1908 & it was a popular theme in early Japanese cinema. All those movies are lost but there is a surviving movie poster for the 1917 one. The only movie that you can see a Hihi is called ‘Mito Kômon manyûki; Hitokui Hihi‘ made in 1956, a samurai fights one. This blog has some details on it but please disregard everything I have written if this is already common knowledge, it's all new to me is all. https://wildinjapan.wordpress.com/2014/10/16/hihi-no-laughing-matter/
Cheers Gavin
