Did you know? They have their own yeti-like cryptid, the Ningen. It's a sort of creepy, swimming, frozen sea yeti of the Antarctic.

The Yeti Cafe in Mito, Ibaraki:
Doraemon is a manga turned anime series about a robotic time-traveling cat. The character is considered a Japanese cultural icon, cemented by the fact that, in March 2008, Japan's Foreign Ministry appointed Doraemon as the nation's first "anime ambassador".
