Not Yeti Friday - Giacometti's Standing Man
I'm in D.C. this week for work (hence the lack of updates), and in my visit to the Hirshhorn Museum, saw this sculpture.
Is it a yeti?
Nope. It's "Standing Man" by Alberto Giacometti. In 1929-1930 when it was created, no one would have associated it with "yeti", I don't think. Now, many modern viewers are going to make that leap.
