The WildSide entertainment emporium of the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania chose a yeti to be their mascot. His name is LafaYETI.

Yikes...they named it "LafaYeti"? That's awful. It's named in response to the French general "Lafayette" during the Revolutionary War, for whom Fayette County, PA is named. Nemacolin Woodlands in located in Fayette County, so I GUESS it makes sense. But still...wow.
Oh! And by the way, I have a picture up of their stationary, featuring the Yeti, here: http://teddyandtheyeti.blogspot.com/2009/08/foyyi-yi.html
It's strange.
That yeti is ugly and scary looking.
I won't be sleeping tonight.
Jeff, thanks for the link. That must have been the original sketch for the mascot. Funny how they didn't quite capture the sketches' cheeriness in the final costume.
Raven, I'm with you. They could have at least made the guy smile. He's SO dour and droopy.
Maybe he just found out his name.
