Multi-talented "I Love the Yeti" reader, Vera, has graciously permitted my posting of two of her yeti poems for the enlightenment of the public.
I wish I were a Yeti
I wish I were a Yeti
Somewhere in the mountains
A Yeti on a journey with his father
Who reads Lermontov to him, at night.
A Yeti lying awake at night,
With glowing eyes,
Outside, under the stars,
Somewhere in the mountains,
And wishing to be a Phoenician
Or a satrap of Alexander the Great.
Or some other impossible thing.
Heady Yeti
He is someone
Silent and sincere,
That, when in need
Will fight for you and pray.
Only when you have a Yeti,
That laughs with you and cries,
Only then could you say
I have a Yeti,
and it’s heady.
