Cardboard, Paper, & Cotton

Chili Dog Farmer aka Joe Fidel made this.

Are those pajamas? Can I count this as Undies?

Vella Yeti

The artist Alexei Vella made this yeti, and it is very good.

(Note to self: I must add "rRWr" to the list of yeti quotes.)

Holmes Yeti

Erla by Tom Holmes is an ongoing online character-based illustration project. Erla, a little girl, is the central character and is friends with a yeti.

The yeti character is friendly and has warm armpits which he offers when needed.

Artist Stephanie MacIntyre made plush versions of Holmes' yeti! But they've sold out.

What I like about this yeti is that it's probably the most broken down, abstract, and simplified version of yeti you can get (while still maintaining the furriness attribute).

Not Yeti Friday - Zog

The artist David Lanham created the character Zog that was later made into a vinyl toy. There isn't much to know about this oaf-like being. We know that he likes to hunt marshmallows and takes 10 naps a day. He seems like a sweet feller who likes flowers.

Lanham teamed up with artist Frank Kozik to make an alternate reality version of Zog... MURDER ZOG.

Murder Zog appears to live in the world of a horror movie. From his name, we can assume that he likes to murder, and that he isn't so fond of flowers or marshmallows (unless said flowers and marshmallows have spurting blood and can be murdered).

Here are the two Zogs together in a piece entitled "Simple Pleasures". I think it illustrates the dichotomy of the two quite well:

My preference is for purple, friendly floraphilic Zog, but that's just me.

Oddest Yeti Costume Ever?

Look at the costumes on display in this flickr set.

Yes, they're supposed to be yeti. And no, I don't know why they all chose to dress like that.

Seriously odd.

Fout Yeti

If you guessed that Sam Fout drew this, then you either knew that already, or you are really, really good at deduction...and I mean really.

Nice goin', Sherlock (I mean this sincerely; that was impressive).

Not sure if this is a t-shirt design or what, but I think he made it for the recent NY comic-con.

NOTE:

Is it related to this blog?

It has some nice yeti art, like this 1, this 2, and this 3. Oh, it hasn't been updated in over a year, so it's probably not connected. Sorry, Sam.

'NOTHER NOTE:

I am tagging this with a new label: UNDIES. If anyone knows of any other depictions of yeti wearing underthings, let me know! And what will I do with that information? NOTHING SINISTER, I assure you.

Art Jumble: Week 67

Art Jumble is a sketchblog where artists can submit a piece about that week's topic. On Week 67, the topic was "Abominable Snowman". Here are a couple from that:

Previously yeti-loved Greg Ham submitted as well.
