Not Yeti Friday - The Ultrahumanite

I've blogged about him before, but he's worth another mention.

The Ultrahumanite is the first ever super-villain mad scientist, going up against Superman in 1939. He's also the first transexual super-villain. To survive death, he put his brain in the body of a woman.

Most recently he's taken on a yeti-like form. Technically, he's a genetically modified albino gorilla.

Ultrahumanite, you are an honorary yeti. This I say.

How much is that yeti in the window?

C.O. Bigelow in NYC, the oldest pharmacy in America, decorated its window display in 2006 with a yeti to express the holiday spirit.

"Captn. Yeti" by Matthew Kalinauskas is nice and Simpsonsesque.

The yeti was drawn for the artist's yearbook page on the occasion of his final year at the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning in Ontario, Canada.

A bit of trivia:

One of the stickers in 1985 was a parody of the Cabbage Patch Kids. Topps liked what they saw and asked the artist to begin creating idea sketches and paintings for a new sticker series based on it. Thus, the Garbage Pail Kids were born.
