Wenlock and Mandeville are the weird, cyclopean alien mascots of the 2012 Summer Games.

Actually, I'm wrong. They're meant to depict two anthropomorphic drops of steel from a steelworks in Bolton. They are customizable shape-shifters, capable of assuming the desired personality of whomever looks at them.

I still say they're weird aliens.
