Gargan was a story in the British comic magazine Lion.  It was about a boy and the last yeti searching for a stolen magic mirror to stave off death and disaster.  It would be like if Tintin actually took the yeti back home to England and teamed up with him as his side-kick.   Note the prominent pointy-head like Tintin's yeti. I don't have  a date of first publication, but I assume early 1960s.  Anyone know when specifically? I would love to see more scans of these Gargan stories, so please share if you have them.

King Arthur's Disasters, British kids cartoon (2005-2006), epsode "Ice Palace", has this guy vs. King Arthur and Merlin:

You heard it here first.

This could be the next big thing for pre-school kids. Coming next fall, CG-animated series: Camp Yeti... the main characters are cuddly, multi-colored yetis.

Description:

"Imagine a Summer Camp where young Yetis go for adventure, to get messy & have the most fun EVER! Learning to respect the environment and build confidence by working as a team, you can ride the Tummy Tickler roller coaster, eat Spag-Yeti, tell camp-fire stories and laugh out loud at Camp Yeti!"

The Ice Cream Heroes aka Oskar and the Ice-Pick

In 1988, British illustrator David Parkins did a great job depicting the yetis from Judy Corbalis' children's chapter book, "Oskar and the Ice-pick" or as its known in the US, "The Ice Cream Heroes".

 

Probably the sweetest yeti picture I have ever seen.

Not Yeti Friday - Terrahawks' Sporilla
