Comic: Vampirella #77 - "The Night of the Yeti" (1979)

This is another example of the "you-seek-the-yeti/ you-become-the-yeti" trope, a throwback to many comic plotlines from a decade earlier.

Cave Girl vs. Yeti

The obscure comic Cave Girl featured the very first yetis ever depicted in a comic book.  Issue # 11, "Spears of the Snow-Men", published in 1953.

So one of the first yeti depictions in the popular culture featured a female spear-wielding superhero?

Kind of surprising and amazing.

Yeti Arcade: Lara Croft: Relic Run

They have been part of the Tomb Raider universe three times, and now a fourth!

Once as an action figure playset, but also in two different video games: Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider: Underworld

Just out this year:  Lara Croft: Relic Run (2015), a mobile Temple Run clone, has three types of yetis.

There are: 1) furry blue axe-throwing ones, 2) blue ones with spikes on their backs that throw icicles, and 3) greyish white boulder-throwing ones.
