• He was originally conceived as being yellow, not green.
• Technically, he is a "focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm or a class 5 full roaming vapor".
• He wasn't known as Slimer until the cartoon. In the film, he was nicknamed "Onionhead" by the crew.
• According to a canonically-suspect comic book, he was known as King Remils when he was alive and died of heart failure.
• There is a toothpaste named after him.
• He knows how to drive a bus.
