ROM had humble beginnings as this toy in 1979:
The toy needed sales. So Marvel Comics was hired to make a comic book series:
Little did they know what they would unleash upon the world!
Not toy sales, unfortunately. It bombed and was abandoned by its manufacturer.
BUT ROM LIVED ON!
In people's hearts and whatnot.
