You will be joining with the small number of (genius-minded) people the world over who are also adopting the likeness of the Abominable One. Let's get more yeti out there on the streets that night, people!

Mastodon Yeti

There's this heavy metal band called Mastodon. And there's this company called Ding Life that will put Mastodon related imagery as "skins" on your portable computing devices and mobile phones.

So Mastodon has a related imagery of a yeti fighting a saber-toothed tiger.

And that's what I got.

Winner of the Biggest Thing to Happen to Yeti...

The biggest thing to happen to yeti in popular culture in recent times is the new Mummy movie. It's the first time a yeti has appeared in a major live-action film (and a summer tentpole picture to boot).

Many reviews cite the yetis as the only redeeming feature of the film. Perhaps this will encourage other filmmakers to include Abominable Snowmen in their cast.

Note that it is really more bear-like than ape-like.
