Not Yeti Friday - Oso Si-Papu

Wouldn't this have been cool? A film idea by Willis O'Brien: "The Last of the Oso Si-Papu".

Oso is bear, and Sipapu is a Hopi word for 'the portal from the other world the ancestors entered.'

O'Brien loosely translated it to "darkness of the underworld, so for him,  Oso Si-Papu meant "bear from the darkness of the underworld".

I like the idea of a sort of bear monster with a desert lizard skin.
